Mig-29

The Mig-29 was designed by the Russians as a light and affordable air superiority fighter which could be fielded in large quantities to counter fourth-generation American fighters. Although it introduced many new technologies and enjoyed success in the export market, its reputation has been marred by its combat history. Mig-29s mainly saw action with countries that were ill-equipped to maintain or fly the aircraft properly, resulting in embarrassing losses.
